Megan is a exceptional student who maintains a 4.0 GPA entering her senior year of high school. She wants to attend a college or university in the Fall 2013 where she can pursue a degree in elementary education from a well acclaimed academic and athletic program. Megan is a play-making attacking centre midfielder, very comfortable on the ball, with good field vision. She is equally proficient in creating scoring opportunities for her teammates, as well as scoring goals herself. Megan is also very versatile position wise, and over the years, has had the opportunity to play a variety of positions on previous teams. She is equally talented with both feet, and committed to hard work in games and training. Megan is highly organized, and committed to continuous and ongoing self improvement. She sets high standards, and pushes herself to attain them. A key component to her success is her tactical understanding and anticipation towards creating scoring chances. Megan was a member of the team Ontario U 16 showcase team in January 2011 that played in the Vaughan coaches combine. Megan is currently a player for the Toronto Lynx U17 team, who this fall will be going to play in Tampa Bay for the North American Championship. In the new year Megan will be joining the Toronto Lynx Jrs. Playing in the super-20 league in the USL. Her passion for sport,, commitment and dedication to her team, always leading by example, are the qualities that have lead her to hold the position of team captain most years in both soccer and volleyball. She has won numerous athletic awards including 2012 athlete of the year, and soccer and volleyball MVP's at Ecole Secondaire George P Vanier. In addition to her athletic achievements, Megan has many academic accomplishments. She is fluent in French and has been on the honor role throughout high school. Megan has also won the academic award in 2009 and volunteers at Camp D'ete francofun and in soccer leadership classes. She is ambitious, organized, and dedicated to continuous learning both in the classroom and on the pitch to strive for the best collegiate program.
