Aaron is an accomplished student athlete who has gained valuable experience in sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and a good work ethic. His combination of excellence in both academic achievement and athletic competition will make him an excellent asset to any college or university in the Fall 2014. He plans to pursue a degree in business that matches a topnotch NCAA ski racing program with high academic standards. Aaron is currently in his senior year of high school attending the Blyth Academy in Burlington, Ontario. He maintains a 4.0 GPA and scored 1950 on his SAT test (all sections combined). He attended school at the National Sports Academy in Lake Placid, New York before returning to Ontario for his senior year to join the Ontario Men's Ski Team. In 2010 Aaron won gold in the Giant Slalom and placed 2nd overall at the USSA J3 Junior Olympics at Sunday River, Me. He was then given a discretionary spot at the Canadian Nationals and skiing out of the last seed, went on to place 2nd in the GS earning him a spot as one of nine athletes representing Canada at the 2010 Whistler Cup. Since then he has continued to progress with numerous podiums and his first FIS win coming in GS at the 2012 Ontario FIS championships, that same year, he also qualified for the Men's Senior Canadian Nationals. At 36 FIS points in GS, Aaron is currently ranked #2 in Canada and #12 in the world for his age (3rd FIS list 2013). In addition to his athletic achievements, Aaron has many academic accomplishments. He was recognized with the Sally Davis Scholar Award from the New York State Ski Racing Association for excellence in ski racing while maintaining at least a 90% average. At NSA, Aaron has also won the Brett Miller Memorial and Phil Newton awards for academic and athletic excellence.
