Additional Information:
James is an intelligent young man who wants to pursue a degree in Business, possibly with a concentration in Finance. He's looking to begin in January of 2013 at a well established university that matches high academic standards with a competitive golf program. James scored 1360 on his SAT test ( math and reading combined) and 29 on his ACT test before accepting a golf scholarship to Drexel University in the Fall 2012. He is currently looking to transfer to another NCAA program after completing his first year with a 3.5 GPA and permission to contact letter from Drexel's compliance office. James had a break out year in 2011 qualifying for the US Amateur Championship at Seven Oaks GC in Hamilton, New York shooting rounds of 75 and 69 to finish 2nd and finished 12th at the St. Bonaventure Invitational in Olean, New York with scores of 74 and 73. He also finished 24th / 89 at the Hartford Hawk Invitational with rounds of 78,74 and 73. James played in all 9 tournaments for Drexel and was named freshman MVP. In 2012 he shot 77 and 74 at the US Amateur qualifier finishing 24th and 4th at the Barrie County Club with a round of 73 to qualify for the Ontario Amateur. James' current handicap index is +1.6 and he is available for visits to interested schools that are a good potential fit. Coach Jim Salnek PGA of Canada Class A teaching professional at the Barrie CC describes James " as the most mature young golfer I have worked with, his course management and consistency in ball striking are way beyond his years. He will be a valuable asset to any NCAA collegiate golf program." Please contact us anytime if you require additional information regarding James.
