Corey wants to pursue a University or College program for the Fall of 2013 that offers a competitive soccer program with high academic standards. He is an accomplished student athlete who has maintained above a 90% average throughout high school earning him the high honour society award the last 4 years. Corey is a versatile player who mainly plays attacking midfielder, striker, or on the wing. His strength is attacking the goal by feeding other strikers or scoring goals himself. He demonstrates good ball control, and is creative at distributing passes as a winger who is used as a specialist side midfielder especially for attack. Corey has played the highest level of soccer in Ontario from an early age where he was awarded MVP at the Robbie International Soccer tournament and Unionville Challenge Cup in 2006. He was an attacking presence with the West Rouge Soccer club from 2004 to 2009 before playing for SC Toronto in the Canadian Soccer League. Corey was identified by Sutherland AFC in 2011 as a potential player for his quickness, and ability to use both feet equally with speed and agility to create goals.Academically Corey is very focused, as he understands that it takes more than soccer to earn a scholarship. He has numerous academic awards including 98% in grade 10 math, 100% in accounting ( top of his class and only the 2nd student in the school's history to achieve this mark) currently maintaining a 93% average in his senior year. He wants to study life sciences or biochemistry while playing a sport he loves at the highest level. Corey will be writing the SAT test on January 26th.
