Additional Information:
In the Fall 2013, Tara’s main objective is to further her education while playing university soccer at the highest level that best balances athletics while maintaining an excellent standard in education. She plans on obtaining her bachelor’s degree in physical education as she would like to teach at the secondary school level. Tara is a physically strong defender whose strong defending and tackling skills make her extremely versatile to play outside right back, center back, or outside left back. Her vision, intelligence, and tactical awareness make her a leader in the backfield. Tara is good in the air, and provides the ability for clean slide tackles. Along with her passing ability out of the backfield, she contributes with solid transition runs and combination work along the wing working to be an option for a pass. Tara has played for top notch OYSL teams from 2003 to present winning several titles with Brams United. She helped her teams capture OYSL League titles in 2008 – 2010, winning Ontario Cup in 2008 and winning a silver medal in the Ontario Summer games in 2010. Tara is currently playing for the U 18 Erin Mills Striking Eagles who will be playing in several upcoming showcases including Crossroads of America in Indiana, and Umbro Showcase in Toronto. She is an established athlete who has won numerous provincial medals in swimming, was voted athlete of the year and played high school soccer (captain this year), lacrosse, rugby, track, and cross country. Tara wants to follow in the footsteps of her older sister who was on a soccer scholarship at the University of Cincinnati and will be graduating in May. Tara has established herself as a potential starter at any NCAA or NAIA school for the upcoming fall season. She currently maintains a 77% average from grade 9 - her senior year of high school and will be writing her SAT test in May. Videotape footage will be available online by May 1st to review game footage. If you require any additional information regarding Tara’s academic or athletic status contact us anytime.
