Jennifer is a well balanced student athlete who is able to manage her time between academics and her soccer commitments extremely well. She plans to pursue a degree in business in the Fall of 2014 that matches a competitive NCAA soccer program with high academic standards. Jennifer is an outstanding athlete, able to combine her advanced athletic skills with determination, desire and a strong work ethic. She has all the attributes to be a top goalkeeper at a US college or university. Her physical strength, jumping ability and judgement are valued qualities in order to deal with aerial balls and agility, quick reactions and good positional sense are all needed for shot stopping. Jennifer is a consistent and dependable goalkeeper who is extremely coachable. She is currently playing for the U 17 Barrie Spirit who had 7 wins , 2 losses, and 3 ties this year in league play where Jennifer had maintained a 1.0 GA average. Her team also played several showcases including the Empire Cup in Rochester and Mid Atlantic Cup In Pennsylvania. Jennifer also played up a year with the Barrie Spirit playing U 18 in the Umbro Showcase in Mississauga and with Bryst Academy at the MSSL Winter Showcase in New Jersey. Brian Smith, from UP has watched Jennifer play several games describes Jennifer as “a very strong goaltender, with good hands for shot stopping and a willingness to come out and challenge attacking players. Jennifer also has great distribution skills, especially a strong punt well into the attacking zone. She has shown great skill, determination and effort in her athletic pursuits. Jennifer demonstrates strong leadership skills while on the field, and is a great communicator to her defenders”. Jennifer is in her senior year of high school where she obtains a 3.5 GPA and is studying to write her ACT test in October.
