Additional Information:
Jacob's main objective is to further his education while playing NCAA soccer at the highest level that best balances athletics while maintaining an excellent standard in education. He wants to pursue a degree in business in the Fall 2014. Jacob is an excellent defender whose strong defending and tackling skills make him extremely versatile to play outside right back, centre back, or outside left back. Jacob provides an attacking dimension by getting up field along the wings providing crosses and scoring goals. His 6'2 frame and natural athletic ability makes him strong on the ground and in the air, making sure that opponents don't create scoring opportunities. His strong play has helped his current team, the Toronto Lynx, finish first in the Super Y Midwest Division, and who have qualified for the North American Super Y Finals this December in Florida. His vision, intelligence, and tactical awareness makes him a leader in the backfield. Jacob previously played for the Ontario Blast before joining the Lynx winning the Ontario Cup, OYSL League Champs, and bronze at the BMO National Championships. Unlike a large percentage of young players, Jacob has an excellent tactical understanding and often thinks ahead of the ball to anticipate passes and opportunities to steal possession, which increases his effectiveness in the final third as well as maximizing his time in possession. An intelligent young man, Jacob analyses his game greatly and is always seeking support and advice as to how he can improve his performances, constantly driving himself to greater goals. Jacob is currently in his senior year of high school where he maintains a 3.8 GPA and is currently studying to write the SAT test in November.
